Villa Des Indes is perfectly located in Seminyak, Jalan Laksmana (known as Jalan Oberio) and is directly across from the beachfront and adjacent to chic bars and restaurants La Lucciola and Ku De Ta.

Nestled in the heart of Bali's stylish neighborhood Seminyak, are two century old antique Javanese 'Joglos' within a luxury hideaway. Villa Des Indes combines nostalgic luxury with the exemplary services of personal butlers and a top class chef. A mere stone's throw away from a white sand beach, Villa Des Indes Private Residence can be rented out as a 2, 3 or 5 bedroom residence. A small gangway and private entrances separate two colonial villas.

Villa Des Indes Private Residence is of two colonial individual villas, Villa Des Indes I and II, which can be rented out as a 2, 3 or 5 bedroom residence.

Villa Des Indes I ( 3 bedroom/ / max 6 adults plus 2 child beds)

The Joglo is a peaceful centerpiece of Villa Des Indes I, an open-air living area that appears to be floating on water, surrounded by a 21-meter swimming pool. Two of the sleeping pavilions have wide verandahs and den-libraries full of interesting books, attached to the bedrooms. The third pavilion has an open upper level with adjacent butler's pantry and guest toilet.

Villa Des Indes II: (2 bedroom/max 4 adults plus 2 additional bedrooms suitable for 2 staff/children)

Within Villa Des Indes II there is a two bedroom pavilion in the same
colonial style complete with outdoor Joglo fringed by a private swimming pool. Villa Des Indes II has a small gymnasium and two additional air conditioned bedrooms above the kitchen area which are suitable for guests
with staff or older children. Villa Des Indes II has an expansive lawn space which is perfect for weddings and other events. (150 seated/250 standing capacity).

Children are welcome at Villa Des Indes. It's important to inform us of the age of children in advance as some antiques may need to be reappropriated.

The Joglo

The skilled artisans of Demak in Central Java cleverly carved Joglo houses using traditional tongue and groove techniques, forgoing any use of nails in the design. Finely carved, the Joglo features finely carved pillars fluted
with delicate floral patterns and symmetrical intricate layers of mandala style artwork in the ceiling. The Joglos are a peaceful centerpiece of Villa Des Indes I and II, an openair living area that appears to be floating on water, surrounded by a lagoon swimming pool that curves amidst the orchids and frangipanis. Complete with a table for p fine dining set with antique cutlery and crockery, a relaxing lounge with plantation chairs in which you can while the evening away and comfortable corners to curl up in with an interesting book, the Joglos typify the best in tropical Asian luxury.

The Antiques

With passion for preserving and sharing the rich cultural tapestry of Indonesia, the owners have an extensive collection of Balinese and Javanese antiques. One of the most delightful things about residing in Villa Des Indes is that there is always something fascinating to look at. Each piece has its own story; the paintings by famous early artists, the old traveling desk with removable legs, and the more modern pieces such as the 1940's radio, weighing scales as well as numerous original Dutch East Indes travel posters.

Dining at Villa Des Indes can be as grandiose or as relaxed as you decide. There are several areas to suit your mood from the formal dining table

One of the Villa's Villa s signature services is sunset cocktails in the Joglo or upper level living room with a selection of tempting tapas.
