Number of Australia tourists visit to Bali increased 25%

Visitors reach up to 348.489 persons, meaning that increasing slightly 25,33%, compared to first semester period from last year which only about 278.049. Nominated as the 1st visitor numbers, Australia exceed 8 other nomination countries, followed by China, Malaysia, and South Korea.
Mr Gede Suarsa, Chairman of BPS Bali Province stated that Australia tourists reach the top position of visitors number in Bali nowadays. They are entering Indonesia through Ngurah Rai International airport. One of the successful program was held in Kuta Beach , on Saturday 30th July. Concert with many fabulous performance supported this event. In those program, there will be 5 important aspect become the content of the promotion Taman Nasional Komodo (National Comodo Park) as “ The Real Wonder of the World” such as ; nature, underwater, wildlife, culture, and sustainability. Many activities held continuously to promote the sustainable this ancient rare animal . The ministry of Tourism and Culture donated about 8 billion to campaign Komodo as The Real Wonder of The World. The fund will be allocated to the Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur province as the habitat of Komodo. Funds is donated from Government and many private company. This year , the campaign is concentrate to the Komodo , however for the next period will be arrange to another Indonesian Wonder. In 2012 many agenda will be designed to campaign sustainable of Orang Utan , Badak, and Raja Ampat Archipelago.

Sanur Village Festival 2011

Bali Kites festival will attract many kites lover group and spectators. This annual events is continuously since the first one was held in 1979. Will be held in Padang Galak area Sanur beach, started from 28-31 July 2011, this events will be involved by kite fliers groups from many Village ( Banjar) in Denpasar. The competition is welcome to new kite creation as well.
Traditional Giants kites will be flew for Instance Bebean (fish-shaped), Janggan (bird-shaped) and Pecukan (leaf-shaped) during this kite festival. The giant shapes approximately 4 meters in width and approximately 10 meters in length. These giants will be flawed by groups which are consisting of more than 10 persons. The traditional Balinese Orchestra (Gamelan ) will be plied to give the kite fliers spirits and to completed the message of this events. Kites is believed can bring message to Hindu Gods to bless and give welfare by abundant crops and harvest.

Bali Zoo (Kebun Binatang Bali) awarded as the best partner in category The Best Conservation Institition selected by Directorate General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation. This Award was given to representative of Bali Zoo A.A. Gde Putra in Jakarta by Minister of Forestry Republic Indonesia Julkifli Hasan, S.E, MM.
This award was given to Bali Zoo considering their effort give significant contribution to the forest protection and nature conservation. Their commitment is to safe and protect rare animals which were become extinct. Regarding population of rare animals decrease, their population should be well maintain. This is substation duty to the conservation organization to protect sustainable nature for animal welfare.

After getting the black campaign about waste problems and traffic congestion from Time magazine, Bali precisely in the top 10 favorite tourist destinations of China from 68 destinations in other countries. The ten countries chosen other than Bali are Australia, Cape Town, Edinburgh, Hawaii, Madrid, Egypt, Niagara Falls, Paris, and Switzerland, as we quoted from the BaliPost today.
As presented by the Head of Bali’s tourism department, Mr IB Kade Subhiksu, Bali is the only tourist destination from Asia region that was selected as the best tourist destination in The 1st Global Tourism Thermal List-the Most Preferred Tourist Attraction for Chinese in 2011. With the election of Bali as a favorite tourist destination is marked with awards given to Bali. As a poll conducted by the Beijing People’s Broadcasting Station, since the month of April 2011, Bali has become one of the 10 favorite tourist spot, which was followed by 68 other nominations.

Happy Galungan and Kuningan day

Today Hindus in Bali to celebrate Galungan, the day where they are expected to live the teachings of dharma. Through the celebration of Galungan, Hindus are expected to oversee the establishment of dharma. In essence, the feast of the holy Galungan and Kuningan has reverberate in society is the victory of dharma against adharma. The victory of dharma over adharma which has been celebrated every Galungan and Kuningan hendaknyalah absorbed and implemented in everyday life.
Joy in celebrating Galungan, you can see in the villages of Bali, where one day before Galungan, they will put “Penjor” in front of the house, as a symbol of gratitude, or act of gratitude for the prosperity given by God. Penjor is a high-arched bamboo, which is given ornate plants and food and clothing items are endowed by God.
Ten days after Galungan, the Balinese Hindus will celebrate the Feast of Brass, the day when Hindus worship the God with all its manifestations.

Bali Arts Festival 2011

Pesta Kesenian Bali (Bali Arts Festival) constitutes as yearly routine held by Bali Government which is presenting various arts, not only specifically of Bali but also nationally and internationally. This arts parade is regularly performed for a month starting from June to July every year. It takes different themes each year and for now festival, the mother’s theme with each kids would be approved for 5 year up till 2015.
2011 is the 33rd Bali Arts festival which has been begun on June 10, 2011 followed by the long parade at the day after. As year by year, over 15 thousand artists and 334 art community are involved in this annual event. They are coming from regencies, provinces and several countries over the world. The Art Center, the venue of this huge event, would be made use for the festival and would be fully visited. In this festival, dances, music, handicraft exhibition would be carried out.
Today festival takes Desa, Kala, Patra, which means adaptation to the art culture, as the umbrella theme. The special case for the 2011 festival is that there would be conducted Bali World Cultural Forum (BWCF) and also National Competition of reading Holy Veda namely Utsawa Dharma Gita.
PATA’S 2011 Grand and Gold Awards
June 14th, 2011 by Bali VillasA well-known association namely Pasific Asia Travel Association (PATA) honorably reported the announcement of its 2011 Grand and Gold awards held during the PATA 60th Anniversary and Conference, at China World Hotel, Beijing on April 11, 2011. These two awards which are hold up by Macau Government Tourist Office, prized on 26 different categories subjected to around 21 divisions of organizations as well as individuals. Mostly, the rewards were crowned by the group of Kerala Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as well as the Tourism Australia.
As reported through its official website, this year the PATA Grand awards were classified into 4 cups. Education and Training which is rewarded to Kerala Tourism, Environment category handed by India , Heritage class swept up by Galle Face Hotel and Marketing given to Tourism Australia. Meanwhile, the remaining 22 awards categories for Gold awards were taken most by those four organizations mentioned above. India dominated the crown at definitely 70% in Marketing competed with Thailand. Other great countries, as Australia, Philippines, USA, Sri Lanka, and Singapore also took a role in this event at some categories. Amazingly, Indonesia appeared as one best achiever in Heritage category.
