Pesta Kesenian Bali (Bali Arts Festival) constitutes as yearly routine held by Bali Government which is presenting various arts, not only specifically of Bali but also nationally and internationally. This arts parade is regularly performed for a month starting from June to July every year. It takes different themes each year and for now festival, the mother’s theme with each kids would be approved for 5 year up till 2015.
2011 is the 33rd Bali Arts festival which has been begun on June 10, 2011 followed by the long parade at the day after. As year by year, over 15 thousand artists and 334 art community are involved in this annual event. They are coming from regencies, provinces and several countries over the world. The Art Center, the venue of this huge event, would be made use for the festival and would be fully visited. In this festival, dances, music, handicraft exhibition would be carried out.
Today festival takes Desa, Kala, Patra, which means adaptation to the art culture, as the umbrella theme. The special case for the 2011 festival is that there would be conducted Bali World Cultural Forum (BWCF) and also National Competition of reading Holy Veda namely Utsawa Dharma Gita.
