Today Hindus in Bali to celebrate Galungan, the day where they are expected to live the teachings of dharma. Through the celebration of Galungan, Hindus are expected to oversee the establishment of dharma. In essence, the feast of the holy Galungan and Kuningan has reverberate in society is the victory of dharma against adharma. The victory of dharma over adharma which has been celebrated every Galungan and Kuningan hendaknyalah absorbed and implemented in everyday life.
Joy in celebrating Galungan, you can see in the villages of Bali, where one day before Galungan, they will put “Penjor” in front of the house, as a symbol of gratitude, or act of gratitude for the prosperity given by God. Penjor is a high-arched bamboo, which is given ornate plants and food and clothing items are endowed by God.
Ten days after Galungan, the Balinese Hindus will celebrate the Feast of Brass, the day when Hindus worship the God with all its manifestations.
